I'm a blind player who uses a screen reader called JAWS to play online
games. I'm looking for an EXTREMELY good text RPG with crafting and lots
of guilds, skills and territory to explore. I'm willing to pay, too, if the
thing is really good and has support for blind players.

I'm currently struggling to make a go of Gemstone IV, but although people
are friendly enough and want to help, at least the players, the game seems
pretty hostile to potential blind users, who obviously can't use one of the
many graphical front ends provided and have to limp along with Zmud. In
particular, the training of skills seems to be completely unamanageable with
a screen reader. I'd understand if this were a graphical mud like Warcraft,
but you'd think a text game would be a bit more savvy about blind playerws.

Anyway, any suggestions would be welcome.

ZMud works great with MUDs. Maybe one of the many muds out there would fill
the bill
