Hello!

I have asked this on many forums on the net but havent found anyone with the knowledge and will to help me yet, so i try here also.

Im wondering if its possible to remove the monitor of a HP ipaq (some model) and replace it with a external small 2" monitor. If this is possible, how hard is it and where do i get the information about how to do it.

The best 2" screen i have found so far is http://www.winstar.com.tw/products [...] ?ProID=121

Well, i found this oen to but doubt i can get one http://www.engadget.com/2006/06/07 [...] a-display/

I dont want to controll the computer with touchscreen, so i hope i can use it with only a keyboard.

Very thankfull for answers.

Very hard, almost impossible.

First you need the pin-out of the existing display / interface, and then see if it will match up with your replacement, then you need to connect them somehow which is sometimes nearly impossible. I have experience with trying to do this and in the end it's nearly impossible, even with significant resources, these things are not made to be replaced.

IMO, check circuit or project websites to find the original pin-out and controller information.
