What is the best time to press the key when checking the bios

hey guyz i have a windows 7 hp laptop model dv6000 and i want to check all my hardware components through the BIOS ....... i know that the key is f2, but can any1 tell me whats the best time to hit this key..........pls ans as fast as you all can![:)]( ":)")

If it is brand name computer like HP, ACER or TOSHIBA, the screen will show a picture or the company logo. if it's home built, it might show the logo of the motherboard or a black screen with writing. When the splash screen first appears, you normally see a message at the bottom, telling you what tab to press to enter setup, etc.
Hopefully, the Best Answer" selection means you were able to enter thr BIOS.
