I am aware that the PDA world is virturally dead, and the smartphone world has taken over. But only 8 months ago (lol) the IPAQ 110 and 210 units were released. Is it worth it to get a PDA and then a crap cell phone? Or just get an all in one device? It seems like those IPAQs have far more features, a bigger screen and speed then a smartphone would, at a cheaper price.

My cellular is dying and I'm looking for a replacement.

I went the smartphone route. Had a seperate phone and PDA a while back, and found it a hastle to carry two devices around.

Also take a look at Sony Ericsson P1i, its a solid PDA PHONE (but it doesn't have Windows mobile, it has UIQ 3.0 OS):

I own a UT starcom xv6700 and a dell axim x30, as well as an old ipaq h1915, so i've been in the pda market a while.
I never power up the old ipaq, no wireless, so it's kinda useless.

I still use my axim from time to time, it comes in handy to keep around for different things - movies, music, games on the go. It also has a bigger screen for VNC software, which keeps my hair in my head.

Looking back, though, i'd rather have a smartphone from the start.
