Even if the packie has its pack full of ore? WOO-HOO! SIGN ME UP FOR
CAMPING SKILL AGAIN!!!

Which makes no sense considering the first change.

So you run behind the mob, grab the arrow, and run back really, really
fast. This makes no sense and unbalances archery again.

See above.

And if I lag out and am attacked by a mongbat, my Glorious Lord
Grandmaster Swordsman gets wasted. Yeah, right.

I saw that this morning. Bloody all useless to read it.

I don't care if this makes sense. I really hate going hunting only to
find the place littered with bajillions of arrows. I always suggested
they decay as fast as bodies but this works.

Well, autodefend has been broken for ages anyhow. I'd rather get the lag
fixed though, if that was really still an issue.

I wonder why they are turning off the Tomarties though. Illshenar still
makes paragons. There are some places where it's rather tough to go now
because of the paragons.

Let's see...other bugs they continue to ignore:
Live monsters with lowercase names get uppercase corpses. Minor but shows
a lack of QA.

Paladins can't mark runes. I consider this to be a design flaw.

Combat focus is broken. (See above.) If a monster targets me, but I
target another, once I defeat that one I just stand there and never defend
against the first one.

What is the point of some of these skills on items. Self Repair 1???
Useless. Unusable combos? Needs redoing. Needs programmer with IQ over
25.

Monster line of sight is broken. They should not target through walls,
etc. This is usually just annoying but because autodefend is busted it
can be a real problem in some places. For instance if you're on top of
the corrupt shrine on Fire Island and are fighting demons (fix the daemon
name already like you said bunch of lazy bast...) you might discover you
keep targeting the dragon inside the building even in the midst of battle.
Stupid.

Fix the bandage lag. If I can see an explosion or other spell effect on
my screen and then press my "apply bandage" button, there is no way the
server should still be reporting that my character is not injured.

Fix the problem with body piles. If you're fighting a bunch of monsters
or whatever, it's a pain trying to check the bodies for loot sometimes.
How about letting the slayer of a monster make the corpse go *poof* like a
treasure hunter can now do to chests? And no annoying "are you sure
prompt".

How about letting the users specify a given screen location for corpse
gumps to open. Right now we can let them auto offset or open in a random
location (apparently).

How about adjusting some of the screen gumps so they dock better. I'd
like to dock my paperdoll and status gump. Spell icons could dock
together as well. Make it optional in the uo.cfg file.

How about making the skill scroll gump remember it's settings on exit so
you don't have to resize it (after dying) and open up your custom skill
group, etc. when you start playing.

Heck, why close all the gumps when you die anyhow. How about leaving them
where they are?

Hmmm, I guess I will post most of this to the U.Hall in case any EAdiots
are listening.

Hey, at 14-17 gold each, I collect them. Sometimes my archer leaves
Shame with more arrows than when he walked in AND killed a boatload of
monsters.

It will be an issue the first time you lag out and log back in dead
with a couple of Headless gnawing your corpse. Here 's suggestion to
archers who don't want to waste arrows: "PUT DOWN THE BOW!!!" Or
limit auto-defend to melee weapons. If mages can't autodefend with
spells, why do archers auto-defend with bows?

It was an event to celebrate the opening of Samurai Empire. They want
to make the items collected into rares for the collectors.

The rest of your post was interesting but off-topic. Publish 33 is
Publish 33 and these other things await some future publish when they
want to sweeten the cheese. I suspect, though, that there won't be
all that many more after "Mondain's Legacy". Have you noticed that
the Britain Bank on Trammel is starting to look as lonely as the one
on Felucca? Used to be bank sitters 22/7, selling junk, pets, and
macroing skill points off other players. Late at night, weeknights, I
can hear the crickets chirping now. I'm guessing it will stagger on
until about the 10th anniversary and then quietly fold, having beaten
all the critics' predictions about the "imminent demise" of UO.

How much??? I collect them too, but the last time I played my archer for
anything other than doing Guild maintenance was before the Trammel/Felucca
split. Arrows weren't anywhere near that expensive then. Of course I
have some ten thousands stack away in my house not counting the feather
and log stacks. Hmmm. Maybe I should work on my archer.

Yeah, that was always annoying. Just have to disarm all the time. Then
of course, you do have to wait for the rearming delay when you finally
find a target you want to engage.

Yes, I know but it really doesn't make much sense to me. They need to be
more consistent with the way they create artifacts. Too many different
rule sets.

Off thread perhaps but not off topic. Or haven't you heard of "thread
drift" before?

I haven't ever been there since the split. (I've only been to Khaldun and
that was just a couple times.) I never use the Britain bank anyhow. My
home was initially on Verity Isle so I use Moonglow's bank, through the
crush created by T2A even unto this very day when my home is up at
Candelabra Point.

What shard are you on? I just went to Atlantic's WBB and it is teeming at
2AM on Sunday night.

Spells are independant of combat status - which is probably why.

Brit bank in Fel was so empty that it was just me there during peak time!

Chessie WBB has 0 - 5 people there at any time. The new gathering spot
became Luna with the Britan Invasion and may have 15 to 25 characters
between the bank and the moongate.

They do need to adjust the spawn of paragons. There are not enough hunters
to keep them in check. I've seen six or seven on the same screen on a couple
of occasions and promptly got driven out of Ilsh if I'm out of the Confusion
potions and can't break their target-lock on me.

you can fix it so that it appears top right corner...but it would be nice to
have it in any desired location.
