So who is looking forward to ML? From looking at UO.Com you can really
tell the art of the elf looks FANTASTIC. A lot better than the art that
was originally created for Ultima Online in 1996.

I think it's great, nearly 10 years later, they can insert art from
Third Dawn, SE, ML that makes the original art look horrible. They
really have advanced rather than declined.

Yes, the onward march of the neon-generation takes its toll.

They'd just been itching to use all the samurai and ninja stuff that they
put in with uo3d all that time ago.

Well... I can't wait to see the next big thing in leather. I hear there will
be a bullwhip with Spell Channleing and +150% Damage with a 30% DCI...and
Leech Mana
Oooooh...and with Mage Weapon - 0 and Faster casting +1...and +225 Luck....
with the specials Bleed and Disarm...and 25% LRC. Finally something for all
the "wand squatters" that have been neglected for so long.

Also, the new critters are interesting. Now that Hiryu's have been exposed
as "chickens with cramps" - (Band Name!)... we need another few critters.
Does the CFC allow Hiryu level competition?

Funny how recipes will be available for crafters before cooks...go figure.

They are bringing back armslore for recipe decyphering, similar to a
cartographer decoding a map.

The new wood should not be tougher than the leather. All "wand-squatters"
know that the best armors are in this order ...Leather ...Wood....Iron, with
leather being toughest and iron being just a little better than smearing
marshmallow creme or wrapping tin foil on ones self head to toe.Wood should
be somewhere in the middle.

And I can't wait to see the new bow called "Mondain's Harp"...it has Spell
Channeling and Faster Casting +1 and SSI 30% plus it gives Arch Magery - 0.
It grants the user a mage ability equal to their archery skill -0. I can't
figure out why they don't just raise the damn skill cap. As an aside, the
Archery PS +20 IS cheaper than a magery PS +20 anyway.

Does anyone else remember..."We can't restore stat adjusted base
skills...besides, these have long been a thorn in our side on the issue of
play balance." when AOS came out? And now everybody gets 20 in each
skill...<Shakes head>...I wonder what the elves have that justifies it now?
Maybe they have LRC 100% and LMC 50% inherently. That would be the only
thing that makes 'some' sense considering the devs justification for
removing default skills.

They will do nothing concerning lag issues at this time, as dial-up users
really don't count as participants in the game world...They are more like
spectators anyway... No, Mondain's Legacy will be optimized for broadband so
as to more successfully compete with WoW and EQII. <rolls eyes>

Finally...for warriors, there will be the clockwork shield...That's right
friends, now every warrior can be stylin' and know the exact time - no
matter what level of Deceit they are in. The drawback to such a versatile
item however is that it requires a minimum tinker skill of 85 to use
effectively... gotta maintain play balance.

Whoooo... I feel better.

I guess we'll see how it all turns out in a month or so.

Cheers!

I thought you hated 3d based art?

If its done well, it can look good, (look at Sims) but UO has always
been so bad. UO 3d characters look like refugees from a rag pile,
with rag hair that needs washed, and faces that would break a mirror.
When they finally decide to put a "real" artist on the UO team, I will
give 3d another try. After seeing the Elf art, they obviously do not
even have a 2d artist on the team now, much less a 3d artist.

That was the troll, Ice. Always remember to check headers before
responding to anything that claims to be from me. On certain days when
the moon is in the right phase and he's on his meds my stalker can
approximate the behaviour of a normal human being.

1. Download a copy of Newsproxy from www.nfilter.org

2. Install it and point it to your news server (news.yourserver.net
or whatever) (Edit=>Configuration).

3. Open the Newsproxy filter file (Edit=>Filters).and add these
lines:

* score:+100 From: *Reg LeCrisp*
* score: -100 Message-ID: *4ax.com*
* drop: score:100

4. In Agent change the news server name to

localhost

5. Save all changes and restart NewsProxy..

Until Stupid starts posting from Sympatico.ca you'll never see Reg's
stalker again. NewsProxy is otherwise completely transparent

It does not bother me that I replayed to this jerk-off.
I gave my opinion whether it was to him, or anyone
else. Its still my opinion of UO 3d art.

Normally I notice its him, but today I was rushing to get
to the dentist when I responded. As a rule, it does not take
that much to ID him even without looking at the isp address.

Change the last line in Step 3 to:

* aflag:Hey_it's_Stupid! score:100

You won't make that mistake, either. >:)

One would have to wonder why, as all your posts come through
