Hi all

A friend of mine is having some problems with his Asus w3000 laptop. It seems that the laptop's power jack has been damaged or dislocated.

Does anyone know how to open the laptop's case or have any recommendations on what to do to solve this problem? We tried to find some guides online but nothing came up for this model.

Any help will be much appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

Just remove all of the screws in the bottom of the case. You should just be able to pop the bottom off after that. In most cases, a bad power jack also means a bad motherboard, which means that unless you find another mobo, you are probably sunk. Good luck.
