I am going to get some new ram. I currently am running a P4 2.6@3GHz with Corsair DDR400. I want to oc more, but as i don't have the overclocking ram it won't go any higher. I'm going with OCZ since Corsair, OCZ and Kingston rams are all about the same according to tom's review on DDR500. But OCZ is cheaper now. And they also have DDR4200. Does anybody know if the 4200 runs perfectly stable like the 4000??? Would the slightly lower CAS latency settings of the Gold outwight the extra fsb on the 4200?? I am weary of going for the 4200 becaues i don't know how well it works, but i'll kick myself if it works well and i don't get it. If anybody has any information on this subject, i'd appreciate it alot. Thancks

I just sent a pair of 4000EL copper back to OCZ , they worked good but one stick would'nt go past 240 . There support is great and are sending me two 4000 gold ( no extra charge ). Don't know how they work cause i have not got them yet . Heard the 4200s worked great but can't remember which review . Think they need quite a bit of VDimm though . My board only goes up to 2.85 i hope thats enough . Post what you get and how they work . I'll do the same with the 4000 gold.

I ordered them last night(Thursday). I ordered 512 mb Dual ch. PC4200 Performance series from OCZ. They should be here on monday or maybe even tomorrow. I'll let you know how they work. Hopefully the stock cooler is up the the task of cooling the CPU at such high clock speeds. it's a 2.6@3GHz and runs at 22c under normal conditions and 55c under full load(prime 95). Hopefully it won't go over 65c running at 3.4ghz. I have 4 case fans, 2 psfans so there is plenty of cool air coming in. thancks for the replys guies.
