I use a large/heavy 17" screen laptop more as a workstation & really like the clean lines of that single piece of aluminum, but afraid it would be a tad unstable. The dimensions of my PC are over the specs on that mstand. I did contact the mfg, no larger size planned.

I've had problems finding proper 17" cooling pads/stands at all...for one that kinda raises the laptop, I've found this:
