I'm pretty sure that it's possible to use another cdma phone on verizon. But do i need to do to get it working. Im interested in the HTC touch on sprint, altell also has a varient. how do i go about getting it to work on verizon.
 
i know that verizon also has this phone, but a lot of the good features are gone.

Are you sure it's the CDMA version, the GSM one unfortunately has the higher spec CPU and such.  
 
You can get CDMA phones to work on other networks you just need the lockout codes.  
 
It's different than GSM locking. The companies sometimes give you the code or else transfer it to the other company, but you have to have your contract fullfilled and your account clean or else don't even bother asking.
