Here is a question I have. I am going back for my MBA this fall and am going to be purchasing a laptop soon. I had one before, and I hated typing papers on it. Here is my question

The laptop I am getting has VGA out and multiple USB ports. When I am at home in my apartment, can I plug a USB keyboard and mouse into the laptop and run the VGA out into a monitor and use it as a desktop? Just wondering! Any assistance would be appreciated.

Yes no problem doing that.

It's easier with a dedicated port replicator so you don't have to keep plugging things in and unplugging them again. But it'll work fine the old fashioned way.
