Largely as a result of feedback received from this group, about 2 years ago
I purchased a Sony DVP-NS900V and continue to be exceptionally pleased with
its audio performance, having heard nothing that betters it. Due to a
forthcoming relocation to Israel, however, I unfortunately won't be able to
keep the unit as it is of incorrect voltage and DVD region. Can anyone
recommend a suitable 220V/50Hz replacement that is also DVD region free?

Thanks,
Bruce

How about taking a trip to the local Radio Shack for a power converter
that will allow you to use your Sony, which you like? My local Ace
Hardware store sells them too, and Home Depot and Osh as well, I think.
Should cost you under $50 for a kit that includes power converters for
anywhere in the world. Less for just a single converter for Isreal.
Otherwise, several sites sell region free players, with PAL -> NTSC and
NTSC -> PAL converters built in and multi voltage capability.
