Stupid question from simple person.

I am sure that youget many questions like this. I apologise if it is not apropriate.
I am trying to get my son to remember to do stuff and in an ideal world, he would have microsoft outlook attached to his forehead.
I need to be able to repeat weekdays, weekly, weekends etc, all the stuff that you can do on outlook.

The question is..... do PDAs have this facility or does it vary?
I have never had one and don't want to buy one (even cheap second hand) to find it doesn't do it.
