Probably the wrong forum, but im asking anyway...

Is BR playback on a mac possible yet?
Without running windoze of course.
Yes i know macs dont have br drives, but the files can be transfered easy enough.

Ive heard of a few possibilities here and there but nothing concrete yet.

Well you've been able to add a BR drive to a MAC for a while either as an external or internal drive, using Toast, but it's for data & personal movie storage and playback.
Playback of Hollywood titles has been more of an issue, since I know of no 'supported' player on OSX that does playback of commercial encrypted titles.

Thanks Ape.
Does that mean Toast can play unencrypted (or is it decrypted?) commercial titles? Say ones that were ripped by.... i dunno, AnyDvd HD??
Or even any 'unsupported' s/ware?

I did see some BR drives for the macbook... bit expensive tho... nearly a grand for most.

Sry, im new to the whole Mac thing.
