I currently have a Dell inspiron 9300, 1.73 pentium m, 512 ram, nvidia 6800go gpu. I play counter-strike:source competitively. Should i just upgrade my ram and cpu or get a new laptop? If get a new one, the max i want to pay is $1200 american dollars. I live in NY.
I agree $1200 isn't going to get much of a gaming laptop. Best bet is to find something last generation, end of stock type sales, with aT7200 or T7400 on the Napa platform, and then a GFGO7900series graphics board.
Old stock or second hand will be the only way for it to be a 'competative' laptop at that price.
