Should I use onboard sound?

I have a MSI K8T800 motherboard, and was wondering if, for gaming, I should just stick with the onboard sound, or get a audigy 2. My friend suggested the audigy, but I hear some onboard sound is just is good. It would be nice to save the 80$, but I dont mind spending it if it is worth it. thanks!

Go with the onboard for now. If you like it, you saved yourself $80, if you don't like it, get the Audigy. At worst you'll just be trading good sound for crappy sound for a few days.
