I have an IBM R50e that has been having some major issues lately. The laptop is just over a year old. It has a somewhat intermittent boot issue. It will run solid for a week, without being powered off. Then for the next 2 or 3 weeks it will randomly shut down and restart frequently. When the machine is powered back on after one of it's frequent shutdowns it will just keep cycling through booting and most of the time not even make it to the Windows XP splash screen. We cleaned it out, swapped RAM, ran it off just outlet power (No Battery), swapped HDD's, tried to boot to safe mode, tried to restore with IBM's rescue utilities. I am not sure what else it could be. Anyone have an similar issues or know of anything else that might help? Thanks.
