dell is offering these discrete graphic cards with 256mb dedicated memory.are these cards good for dx10 games
and will it run counterstrike,doom3,age of empires3.Also the os is vista home premium.hard disc is 5400rpm and ram is 4gb and processor is core2duo@2.0.Should I buy it?What about heating issues during 3/4 hour gaming sessions.Please advise as this is my first laptop purchase.Thanks.

THe 8600GT is the one you want. It will handle DX10 at low settings and will handle all three of the games you listed without problems. Heat shouldn't be a problem. Search google for "Dell Coupons to get some good rebates. I say go for it, maybe bump the HDD to a 7200rpm one.
