I'm upgrading very soon, plan on getting an Asus P4P800 MB.

I was doing math and I can afford to either get 2.6ghz with 1gb of RAM, or 2.8ghz, with only 512 Ram.

I will be running the ram in dual channel either way, my question is if 512 is enough. are there any games coming out in the foreseable future that would need more then 512 MB of pc3200 ram in Dual Channel.

Heres a tought, get 1024 meg of PC3700 with a 2.6ghz
Overclock slightly the FSB too 216. Like this you will have a 2.8ghz with 1gig of ram for almost the same price...
Best of both world and a such a smal increase in clock wont hurt stability/heat wise.

with the money your looking to spend i would go with 2.6c and 512 of PC3700 or 4000. Get your cpu mhz up to sync with your ram and your set.
