Anyone come across this before:?

Dell Dimension 2400, running XP Pro SP2, connected using a 3 Mbs cable
modem. Also in the system tray are:
Zonelabs Security Suite
MS Antispyware beta
Proxamatron
Pest patrol
The prob is that MSN Messenger 7 has stopped connecting. You can get
MSN 4.7 to connect within seconds. but then if you run msn 7, it logs
4.7 out but never manages to fully log in itself. It just sits there
with the icon rotating, and eventually gives up, but with no error
message or the (messenger is unavailable ) box. AT any point you can
run MSN 4.7 and its straight in.

Stopping the firewall or Proxamatron makes no difference, but if you
uninstall Zonealarm and reinstall only the firewall and not the full
Suite and then reboot it connects, pointing apparantly towards the anti
virus component of Zonelabs being the culprit.

Now, the bizarre thing is it USED to all work fine together until IE
was damaged by a spyware toolbar, which was killed by MS Antispy, after
which the user ran the Repair option on the MSN installer. After that
point it woudnt connect. Methinks there some other more subtle
underlying damage here.

Any ideas, anyone ?
