XP sudden power loss

On one of my XP machines I have been getting unexpected, progressively increasing, power shutdowns when online using internet explorer. Anyone have an idea of where to start? I have DSL and run through a linksys ethernet router. It happens whether I am on the network or if I am the only computer on.

Just want to understand this - as well as it only occurring when you're on the network and then only computer on - does it also only occur when you're using Internet Explorer?

Sex is great but it's no substitute for the real thing.....

99% of the times I have been using Internet Explorer. One time I was online with out the IE browser open.
