I've got a SBLive! value on an A7N8X Delux MB (onboard card disabled in Bios). I really liked my first pair of headphones, then one day sound stoppped coming out of the left headphone. I'd use the speaker icon in Windows to adjust the Left/Right output of the speakers and found that somewhere between 80-90% left would put the beep sound with equal volume in both ears. I figured the pair was broekn, so I got a new pair. After about a month, the same thing happened. Has anyone actually heard of a case where plugging headphones into a computer can ruin them? If so, is this my soundcard's fault or did I happen to damage both pairs elsewise and just not notice?

I don't know why you'd replace your top quality onboard sound with that crappy card to begin with!
