trying to format W2K on a "possibly defective" HDD , i go through the four FDD boot disks, then the CD rom starts to load,....then blue screen comes up with the following message , with instructions to disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. (which i cannot see in BIOS)
does this error message mean a faulty HDD or something else ?.....(2 months out of warranty ),i already ran the seagate diagnostic utility , but it came up clean, this HDD always seemed to run hot
