It'late and I'm losing it. Have CDR/DVDrom combo, CR-Rom and 120 HDD. Have CDR/DVD combo as master for IDE2 with CD-Rom as slave for IDE2. HDD is master on IDE1. Is this the best setup? Most CD burning is off harddrive.

yes. you want the hdd and cdrw drive on seperate ide channels.
