I want to change the default base station IP address from
its default. When I do (and it sure looks simple), I lose
my signal and have to reset the base station. I'm running
the firewall, MAC filter and WPA encryption w/o probs. The
base station is connected to a cable modem. Oh I also have
it set to dynamic IP. Any thoughts?

Assuming you are referring to changing the subnet IP from
192.168.2.x to something else in the LAN screen...
You need to reset the connection on the computers, after
changing the subnet if they are using DHCP -- either
reboot the PC or run Command Prompt and enter
ipconfig /release and then ipconfig /renew (for XP; for
other OSes check ipconfig /?)
If the PC's have static IP's you also need to change
their IP's, gateway and DNS settings under TCP/IP
properties for the connection.
If you are trying to change the WAN IP given by your ISP
in the WAN screen... only your ISP can do that.

Dear Dave,
Actually, that's what's suppose to happen, if I reading
what's happenning correctly. Once you change the IP of
the base station, then its DHCP server will change ALL
the dynamic IPs to match the new base station IP.
So for example, if your base station is set now to
192.168.35.1, the DHCP server will begin setting dynamic
IPs to 192.168.35.101, etc. Your own, original dynamic
IP will not be recongnized. You may have to re-boot your
PCs to be re-assigned new dynamic IPs.
