as I have been looking around at laptops for a little while now, I noticed that some laptops, particularly business and ultra-portable laptops have been coming with a SSD hard disk option. Business for the reliability, ultra-portable for the power savings. I personally want one for the extraordinary speed and access times.

Here's my problem though, almost all SSD Hard disks are 44-pin PATA or IDE. Almost every laptop I am looking at uses SATA drives.
Do these laptops generally also have an IDE interface?
Is there a converter out there somewhere that will convert from Laptop SATA to Laptop IDE?
Does anyone know of a more affordable PATA SSD 32GB Hard disk (-550)?

Thanks again for the help.
