I just started having a problem with IE6. When I hit a link to another site,
the 2nd page comes up in a new window, but is blank, and remains blank. No
info ever comes in to the new window, and when I go the Internet Options in
the new window, nothing comes up. The original page is fine, but the new
site just stays blank and will not work. This just started happening a
couple days ago. Any ideas on how to fix?
Thanks!

Here's another bit of info. When I manually enter the site into the new
window, it comes up fine, it just seems not to bring the site name over,
therefore never comes up.
Anyone?

Close all open IE windows, the click Start, Run and enter REGSVR32
URLMON.DLL

That didn't help.
What I can see is that the new window that opens does not have the address
in the address bar. Thus, there is no address for the window to go to. The
window opens, but has no destination. How do I fix this so that the link I
press gets inserted in to the new window's address bar?
Thanks.

In the new blank window does anything work like the menu drop downs and
such? What you are describing can be spyware behavior but cannot be sure at
this time.

Nothing worked in the new window. I did a AdAware scan, but nothing came up.
I finally did a system restore to 2 days ago, before this happened. That
fixed it.
Thanks.
