Android Post

Ok since no one else has posted anything about Android in a while so I thought I would. Android first of all... THE BEST that's why no one is posting any complaints about it, I think. But anyways, as it is the best OS for a phone in my opinion I had some questions. I was looking into developing apps and I was wondering if anyone knew any good sites/tutorials other then the MAIN Android developers site. (About halfway through reading that already and its starting to make sense) But just in case other tutorials have different vocab or views to explain things would be a plus. And question #2, I'm getting my HTC Magic next week and still have not found any really good places to get apps, is the Marketplace the only place to get them from or can you download apps through websites then somehow sync them to your Android phone?

Bonus question : HTC Magic vs. HTC Hero - Whats the difference, other then the new Sense UI, Hero seems like its more for people that need a phone as I think it has less sync options?
