More about laptops
  1. go for MSI one it has the fastest processor. but if u must have a larger hdd like 160 then go for Asus F5R-AP214C
  2. The MSI gets my vote.
  3. I say MSI as well, go for the best CPU and GPU and then LCD and Chassis, HDD and Memory can be upgraded later.
  4. Cheers peoples, MSI was my pick, but the computer shop person selling all the above said to keep away from MSI, confusing-

    Any idea about MSI's quality?
  5. What's your price range?
  6. "HardwareBoss" said
    "What's your price range?"

upto $1300, looking for something good for 'Adobe Prem Pro' and general use of course
  7. The plot thickens, added to the above 4 is:

    Processor: AMD Turion 64Bit X2 (2.0GHz)
    Storage: 120GB HDD
    Optical Drive: DVD-Burner (Dual Layer)
    Screen: 15.4inch WXGA
    Video: 512MB ATI X1300 Graphics (128mb dedicated + 384mb shared)

Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Professional
    Warranty: 12 Months Manufacturer
    Category: Mainstream
    Memory: 2 GB DDR2 RAM
  8. without a doubt the core 2 duo will blow the turion out of the water in rendering time, especially if you plan on using a lot of effects in premiere or after effects.

i would imagine battery life is also a big point with mobile editing
