Hi, I have a Windows enabled Mobile phone of i-mate Jamin make. It runs on Windows mobile Version 5.0, my questions are below:

1) is IT POSSIBLE to upgrade the phone to Windows 6.0 (the customer support for i-mate is PATHETIC to the T and have not been able to give me an answer till date.

2) I have been unable to connect or rather use my personal wireless internet on my PDA even though the connection is detected on the network page of the phone and gets linked up as well. The explorer always ends up showing the message, THE PAGE CANNOT BE DISPLAYED with a fine print of WHY AM I SEEING THIS PAGE at the bottom. i have tried using the internet on my phone at other wi-fi hubs with similar situations (i can connect with their SSID and network keys with good signal strength but unable to view or browse any page.

3) My Active Sync for the phone does not allow me to SYNC my outlook and phone contacts. While using an earlier laptop i had once ended up assigning same identification tags to both the machines (the laptop as well as the PDA). i have since changed the laptop and obviously have different identification names for both machines, even then a sync error occurs which does not allow me to reset my previous profile which it stills keeps searching to sync correctly.

The phone it seems is in a mess and i cannot reset it as that would mean loosing my contact list...

p.s. Is there some way i can back it up on the storage card... when connected to the PC via USB, i cannot see any folder for contacts (maybe it is hidden) in the Windows Mobile... Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

1)you really should try a google search to see if there is a way to flash your phone to the newer OS.
2)make sure your pda is getting assigned an ip in the connections. try a different browser like skyfire.
3)you probably need an earlier version of active sync

your storage issue.....there is no folder for contacts. i use pim backup for this purpose...it's awesome. http://www.dotfred.net/default.htm
