Ok, this is probably a stupid question but I dont know so I'll see what you guys think. My IBM T21, has a 800mhz processor, I know so, the bios says so, but Windows (my computer, properties) says "533mhz" or "647mhz" or 798mhz" or any other random number between 500-800. does anyone know why this is? and is the processor actually likely to be running at that speed or is windows just retarted and not reporting it right?

Thanks in advance :wahoo:

No, it's probably speedstep (if it's Intel) which will throttle the CPU down when it's not in heavy use. Also, 798mhz is close enough for them to call it 800mhz. It shouldn't be an issue with the laptop itself.
