Dual channel DDR worth the money?

Im putting together a new system, primarily for gaming. I would like any advice on what Im choosing and specifically if the Nforce2 chipset that supports dual channel DDR is worth my investment. Im spending about 750.00 and getting:
Asus A7N8x Deluxe
AMD XP2800+
Corsair Twinx cl2 512mb
case and ps
80gb sata drive
floppy
WinXP home
Im using a Gforce4 Ti 4600 128mb card that I already own.
Will I notice a performance difference if I get an asus board without dual channel support and the corsair twinx memory? Any suggestions how I could better spend 750 for a new system? Thank you!

- If upgrading in stages with short time interval between stages and making the move to 1GB during the stages, i'd suggest 1 memory module. Else, go with the twinx package. If twinx is chosen and somewhere in the distant future you decide to make the move to 1GB, buy a 512MB stick and place it in the memory slot that seems to stand alone and the two 256MB sticks in the two remaining slots.

Wow..i'm pissed. I missed that sale by 1 day. I hope newegg dies. I'm probably the first one to have a problem with them too.
They sent me 3 seperate shipments all ordered on the same day/order. It will be interesting to see what happens. It should be here by 4 30 if crappy fedex does their job right.. which it's rare for them to do.

I have decided to go with the TwinX, but should I get the 3200c2 200mhz or the 3200LL 400mhz for my A7N8X E Deluxe board?
