Brand new 8600m GS - low performance - WHY?

Hello!

I recently purchased a new notebook. (Hasee - Chinese brand, as im in china at the moment.)

T7100 - 1.86 core duo 2
2 gb ram 667mhz
100 gb sata
8600m GS - 256 meg.

On 3dmark06 I'm only scoring 2100's.

Other people with the same card are doing much better. 2400....2700 even.

What can I do to boost performance?

I can't overclock because whenever I download and attempt to install nTunes (by nvidia) my notebook reacts terribly by rebooting constantly.

My gpu clock speed is 500.... the other is 399 , but its ddr - so its really 800. (so ive been told)

Any drivers in particular I can download??? I'm using XP. I've tried a few drivers but none will install. They say no compatible card found.

Any help/advice is deeply appreciated!
