In the market for a Laptop- need help

Hello all
Ive recently decided I would like to purchase a new laptop for school work, itunes, limewire, burning dvds, and of course wireless net capabilities. I also would like the option to play some light gaming (dark ages of camelot/civ3) but thats not a neccesitie. My price range is around $700 and I would like a quality brand with good customer service and credibilty. I know little about laptops thats why im coming to the fiorums. I do know I need Core 2 Duo aswell as to have at least 2gbs of ram (vista). Also I plan to reformat the laptop upon arrival to get rid of the sh!t they put on there. I would appreciate if you could point me in the right direction by giving me some good brands/models that would be great.
