So far i have heard nothing about anything that will increase bandwith per clock...so no...

DDR-II is very close now...intel already has tested DDR-II compatability and posted it on their website


If it isn't a P6 then it isn't a procesor

I think youre right I read in anothjer post here that said DDR-II was supposed to be released at 533 mhz while corsair is already pushing 550 mhz. This is the samething intel did when they went with RDRAM instead of DDR.

These things are harder to think of than I thought.

If I recall correctly, it's supposed to prefetch data 2x as much as regular DDR, and on top of double data rate it would make theoretically 4x as fast as regular SDR memory. Now, I don't know exactly what prefetch is, I'm just telling you what I've read. And also it's designed to consume much less power than regular DDR modules. And since they are going to use even smaller chips (0.11 micron I believe) it's supposed to be able to be pushed to higher frequencies.
