I am putting togther a system with the following:

AMD xp2800+
Asus A7N8X board
MSI G4 4600 Ti
WD Raptor 10,000 rpm drive

I use it for gaming (mostly dark age of camelot)

I can get Kingston value CL3 ram for a decant price and can afford 1 gig.

I can also price out ram with a better latency but will probibly only be able to afford 512 mb

I am not an overclocker not do I upgrade often. I like to put it have it put together and pretty much left alone.

Should i go for the 512 mb of faster ram ? or run a gig of higher latency ram?

Good question!I think u may just get KST Value(DDR400)1G,because something like COS DDR 500 or other not fit you.The difference between frequency is not as big as capacity.

Truth is somewhere out there!

I'd try and find 1gig of CL2.5 for a reasonable price, but if you can't I'd say take the GB of Kingston CL3.

Got a nice overclocked overvolted system to keep you warm at night? That's great. Guess I'll have to settle for a woman...
