no that dell has 8600GT which is equal to the acer one , also that CPU blows away the TurionX2

Actually, the Dell has either the 8400m GS or the 8600mGT. The GT would be better than the card the Acer has.

Yeah the GT is indeed a faster GPU, alltho only 256mb VRAM... However i made thet build on the Swedish website and the cost with tax turns out to ~13000SEK or $1.977 wich is sadly over my budget anyway :(

Like Maz said before, if you have to choose between the two you posted, the Acer is the clear winner. It has a better processor and a better GPU than the HP.

Your not going to be able to play many games with the 8400m Video card... I would definatly go with the Acer and the 8600m card...

I reckon you shoud get one of the Following Models In this order:
Dell XPS M
Rock
Alienware
Spent 3 months research Alienware lost dur to AMD and Desktop replacement, Rock Lost due to asteticks, Dell XPS M1710 dur to the Cover, Performance and yes the Light! You can get the XPS M1710 for about that price nowadays

I don't think he's in for a huge powerhouse laptop, he can't afford one. Plus I don't want to touch Alienware with a 10 foot pole. Made of lead. Because their customer supports is apparently atrocious and they ended up threatening Hexus.net for reviews, which just isn't cool.

the dell 17" is a great option. my 1720 plays all of the latest games except crysis exceedingly well.
