Problems populating My Computer

Hello. I have a user who's system takes FOREVER anytime it is trying to
populate a "My Computer" window. For instance, when he is opening a file in
any application, and clicks the "Look in:" dropdown menu, tries to open "My
Computer" from the Desktop or Start Menu, etc. The system typically takes
about two minutes to populate the items in "My Computer".

I have tried virus scans and System File Checker. All available updates are
installed. This behavior did not begin after installation of any
applications or changes to the system. Has anyone had this problem before?
Any hints or ideas you can give me would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Brennon

No Novell...

I've tried changing things around in the Folder Options for My
Computer...nothing. This is a bigger problem than just opening My Computer
in Explorer, though. The problem is anytime the contents of My Computer are
shown anyplace (Open / Run / Save dialogs, etc.)
