This is NOT a "bad" support story

This is actually a tech support stroy that was a nice and extremely surprising one at that.

I had driver problems with a Matrox product and not even the best computer fix it dude in my pathetic town could fix it so I called up Matrox support up in Montreal. They couldn't fix the problem on the phone so we hung up and I thanked them for their help anyways. They were really really nice to me and that's rare for all the other companies out there when you call them up for support. A couple of days pasted and I received a call from Matrox wanting more info about my problem. Of course I helped them out as much as I could. By then I realised how much Matrox really cared about their customers and said to myslef that on top of making a kick ass product their service is second to none too! Anyways, my problem was fixed a couple of weeks later with the new release of the next drivers. And i lived happily ever after, the end.

Great story. I believe Matrox is very good. I own a Matrox card (G400MAX) and have noproblems with it. I will forever and ever use Matrox-only systems. The end.

Didn't work as well for me in the UK - it took nearly three weeks to solve the problem on W95 and Matrox G200 ( admittedly some time ago ) before they identified the problem as IRQ setting, and got me a hack utility ( unsupported ). I have to say I am very pleased with Matrox cards on the whole once the damn things are working...

Yes Matrox are good but they have fallen off the wagon a bit with 3d cards for gamers, at least thats what I have read
