Im sure theres alot of confusion there, and Im also sure horror changes the simple truth in times like these there.
Ill give em that, and Im sure this woman, this miniter, is but a puppet, and only repeats whats fed her.
Other then that, either the leader in Syria has lost total control there, or hes in on it

Problem with Muslims nations and western culture, we will never understand each other, no matter how good of a foreign policy you may have.

Well, yeah. Killing your own citizens tends to have that effect.

It is not good foreign policy to get cought redhanded murdering your own citizens in droves ... tends to ruin tourism for a start.

When thousands of them are massing on the border of another country trying to get out then it is also a sign that things are not well.

When foreign news crews and reporters are simply not allowed in to look around then that just adds to the suspicion.

Democratic countries can't allow this sort of gevernment to continue ... anywhere.

Be it Syria, China ... half the countries in Africa ... over half the world's people are ruled by dictatorships ...

They've lived under dictatorships for thousands of years. It's all they know. To get a taste of real liberty, and freedom, even just a taste would be a catalyst to change.

You sir have just made a fair point, one that describes your mentality I am sure. Given the same set of circumstances, I would work together with the man and woman to come to the best possible arrangement to ensure our survival, just because the circumstances have changed doesn't mean you are allowed to lose humanity! That is just wrong!

Contrary to what you believe, mankind has passed the point of being driven by ego as you say, to a world of understanding and care for fellow humans, at least that is how most of the people I associate with behave today, stuff all to do with socialization! Its just a shame some people are still caught up in the old ways of primitive thinking!

It may be true for majority of Muslim countries but not all. Because there are many people living in the Muslim nations who aren't Muslim or don't believe in it.
It all depends on the person.I myself am an open minded person who respects all other nations/beliefs and I never had any problems communicating with western(or any foreign person) because I've read lot about the western culture and honestly,in most areas I like it !
