My samsung writer does't read any cd or dvd

Hi ' all i' have the same problem with my samsung dvd writer.First i use winxp no problem at that time my writer works fine , After i moved to win 7 but at that time no problem it is working fine read and write both cd and dvd.
But in before one week it does not read any cd or dvd (which burn by that writer) .when i insert a cd or dvd it start and when i go to windows explorer it display (in win 7) progress bar that it is reading.After complete the progress bar when i click on dvd rom icon and click open then dvd or cv will eject and display error message please insert disc to rom .(i have used this writter 18 months ,but not hardly used)
Why this happen ,Colud any one give me a advice .

try it after checking the cable , if possible replace it..

also search for new firmware update from you manufacturer site

First uninstall the drive from device manager & Scan for Hardware changes!

Hi manojgj i replaced the cable it works fine thanks you very much .

Hi pradeep, I read ur problem about dvd driver.it happened me also..you said that problem is of cabel but which cabel u r talking about. I want to resolve my dvd driver issue ..please help
