Under $2500, and <=15.4". I'm okay with the screen-size and price of the X61T, thus why I was asking about it.

Not for gaming. I will be running Linux, primarily. As far as functionality goes, I'm a college student, so decent portability would be good. I don't need a powerhouse; that's what my desktop is for.

what are the specs of this laptop ?
there is an ASUS alternative too , its ASUS R1F tablet PC , u might want to consider it , here is a review of it too :

Not really a fan of touchpads. I far prefer pointer sticks. How are Asus's laptops? I've never seen one in real life.

Great! Thanks. My current lappy is dying. Cracked mobo, so it dies if I flex it at all. I'm typing this with a CD propped under the front corner. :-)
