$500 budget and still confused

ok so here is the story. i am going to have a $500 for laptop i have been researching around and yes i have a good understanding of pc hardware, it is just that i am not that good when it comes to finding the best deals, or at least i think so.
so i have found one laptop and am tempted to get it.
I am not a fanboy, i dont have any preferences as long as the hardware satasfies my needs
i was looking for something in the range of
CPU: dual core AMD or Intel,
RAM: 1gb or more
HDD: 80GB or more
Screen: i would like to stay in the 15.4'' area just because it would be the best for moving around and still having a screen that is enjoyable
VGA: well, i would prefer if it was an ATI/NVIDIA integrated system but intel is fine

i am mostly going for refurbished just so that it is more affordable. i am looking for any forms of advice on which direction i am going thanks in advance
