Hey just wondering whether you guys have heard of this laptop, its not out till summer 08 but im waiting to see what its like.

Main things i like are the fact it can use desktop processors and can be bught as a barebones, meaning i can put the stuff in that i really want. Saying this im hoping the barebones is cheap enough to afford the rest of the compnents..

its a very nice laptop, i have heard u can upgrade its GPU too (but i am not sure)

yes i think you can upgrade the GPU up to a 8600m, which sounds good enough for a laptop of mine

 

basically you can upgrade the CPU, GPU, HDD, optical drive and wirelss easily with the "Ace" door (accessible, convenient, effortless)

 

Also the bit at the back is not extended batery but an extended cooler, so its meant to be better than most laptops to cool these better parts.

by upgrading the GPU, i meant upgrading to next 88xx cards (but as i said its a rumor)

Techware Labs has a review of the Killer Notebooks Uchigatana, which looks to be the same model as the Asus C90. Check it out if you want some ideas on performance. Looks a bit silly with the huge fan vent at the back though :D
