Take a look at WindowBlinds. There is a free version. My youngest son
has a WB skin on his XP machine that does exactly what you want. He
says it is called iSkin. Here's the link for WindowBlinds:

Actually - with third party applications, you can. I have skinned many
Windows XP machines to look a lot like OS X - at least to the untrained eye
and until you start doing a little digging. It's still Windows - but it
looks more like a macintosh with OS X than Windows XP.

Google for "Skins and Windows XP" and "Make Windows XP Look like a mac".

hahaha... Yes you may dare to ask. =)

There are many out there that are "that bored" and feel that if they make
their OS look like something else, it will make things easier or better in
some way. I have helped these people who wanted to try such things so that
i wouldn't be working on their computers later after they downloaded some
"crud" that destroyed their machines. *grin*

Personally - I like my Windows either in Classic mode or trimmed-down
XP-ified.. But I was willing to experiment to save myself work in the long
run - not to mention - everything you do in/to Windows XP helps you learn
that much more about how to fix SOMETHING when it goes wrong. heh

My son was invited to the local apple store with a few classmates and
teacher to show off their stuff. When we got there I noticed the sales
force was quite huge. I think the plan was to sell apples to parents of
the kids who were good graphic designers. Since I believe it'd be a nice
touch to know both OS and perhaps have a new mac in the house, I
actually considered picking up one. But, as in the past, I just couldn't
deal with the no right mouse button major handicap and proprietary
monitors.

Maybe it's just me, but I have never had any desire to have a Mac desktop
look-a-like, anymore than I would want an OS2 or XP theme desktop.. Classic
is the way with drop down shadows enabled to remove the nasty boxes behind
desktop icon descriptions..

Strangely, most like the XP look which, as far as I am concerned, just takes
away from the performance of any machine running it, giving nothing back
except for a 'Broderbund' look and feel..

Then there are those who think that if they revert to Classic look, Windows
98 has taken over their computer..

Question.. if you were to tell me how to get a Mac desktop, would the right
button on my mouse stop working a la Mac one button mouse?
