I figured the kids could use a Toshiba Satellite Notebook
in their room - looks like a good deal [link to "Free Laptop" site deleted by TGGA]

Seems
worthwhile if they will actually ship a Toshiba Satellite Notebook - anyone else done
this before?

It's not worth the hassle and you have to spam a bunch of your friends. If a friend of mine sent me one of these, there would be a big problem. Steer clear.

You could build the kids an inexpensive PC, which would be much easier to deal with, kids are malware magnets. A better idea is do what I do with my grandkids, build a new machine for my self and give them my old one. As long as I do it for the kids, the wife seems to be OK with it :)

Not only would I not recommend these "Laptop for Free" sites, I also won't let them be liked to here, if that gives you any idea of what people think of them.

And based on the spamming of this with another model in another thread, bye-bye. :pfff:
