With this mobo devinitevly go with 2 sticks to take advantage of the dual channel.
If you dont plan on overclocking you wont need anything over 3200-ddr400 speed.
Its been shown that timmings do not affects system that much http://www.tomshardware.com/motherboard/20040119/index-12.html
My suggestion is to go with some Twinx3200C2 so you get a branded stick with lifetime warranty with good timmings...
The twinx is actually 2X256 so its perfect for a dual channel PC.

First of all you wasted a bunch of money on that board and power supply. Yes, I own that board, you could have gotten most of the features and performance for half the price with the Abit IS7. And the power supply...well your canadian.

You would have had more money for RAM! I'd go with PC3700 since your 2.6C overclocks well.

PC3500, 3700, 4000, 4200, etc. are all PC3200 modules that have been tested to operate at higher than standard frequencies if desired. So any board that can use PC3200 can also use the faster stuff.

I have the P4C800-E Deluxe (waste of money), and PC4000 RAM, using the P4 2.6C. It used to operate at 3250MHz using 250MHz bus (RAM at DDR500, CPU bus QDR1000).

PC4000 tends to be expensive. If you can find a better price on OCZ PC3700 Gold, it will overclock to PC4000 speed as well.
