I've been looking to buy a new laptop for a while now since I'm entering university next September. Currently, my friend is offering his old laptop for $800 dollars which is about 2 years old. I require at least 2 gigs of Ram but apart from that, my requirements are pretty slack. I will be doing light gaming if any, and all it really needs to do is Office, Msn, internet, and the basic tasks. I will probably also be doing some light visual designing and photoshop work. Here is what my friend is offering me:
Dell M60 Notebook Intel Pentium M Processor 2.10 GHz 15.4in Monitor (1900 x 1200 Max resolution) NVIDIA Quadro FX Go1000 video card 2 Gigs RAM 60 Gig HDD DVD ROM / CD-RW Wireless B/G Bluetooth 1394 (Firewire)
Extra Battery 2 A/C Power Adapters Windows XP Professional Eddie Bauer nylon laptop bag
Is this a good deal or am I better off just buying a new laptop?
Thanks for the input 177ine177ine

I think he may be asking a bit much for it based on the fact that it has a single core CPU. If you don't mind buying a used product, check out the Dell outlet. You will probably be able to find a better deal. I bought a Dimension system from the outlet that was a "scratch and dent" but it was in near perfect condition when I got it. Bought it a few years ago and it's still ticking.
