I am having terrible trouble installing Hauppage's NOVA-T-USB 2. XP sees the
device only as a generic USB device and refuses to associate the correct
drivers however I try to point it in the right direction.

Any ideas?

driver to install" from the driver update dialogue ?

Hi Mark,

The hardware must have come with a driver CD and documentation on installing it. Try following the
documentation and install the drivers from the CD.

I've done exactly that, but windows fails to recognise the device properly
and says it cannot find the software to install it. I tried the same device
on my work laptop (XP Pro) and it works there
