Yup, it's a Clevo D900C, so expect a lot of companies that use that chassis to start putting the 8800m on the config list.

now thats a laptop! slightly under $3k. oh yes i never used sli, how much performance increase would you get using sli (i know its not 100% increase but hoping somewhere above 30%)

It all depends on the game and whether it's optimized to use SLI. If the answer is no, then you won't see much performance increase. If it's yes, 50% gain is probably the average. As far as battery life, it ain't too good. Better than your guess, but still not good.
